Kith and Kin Education Group started off with its Nursery and Primary School arm on 17 th July, 1998; at the temporary site situated at 56, Ibeshe Road , Owode, Ikorodu, Lagos , Nigeria . The School founded by Chief Kaoli O. Olusanya started with a modest enrolment figure of nineteen pupils and five teachers. Kith & Kin was primarily founded to cater for the intellectual promotion and development of the under-privileged children in the immediate environs of Ikorodu.

A lot of developmental changes have since occurred in the school. The Nursery and Primary arm of the school moved to the ultra modern permanent school site in October 2000. The school can now boast of standard airy classrooms, a well equipped information library, laboratories, excellent sporting and recreational facilities, toy rooms for toddlers, hygienic catering services, good and efficient transportation system, and an overall ideal learning environment. As a private school, the primary goal of the founder was to set high standards.

The academic programme is structured in such a way to integrate good communication skills learning; exposure to the outside world, industries and national monuments; leadership training; Information Technology; and quality classroom education. This is so as to produce well rounded pupils that will easily adapt and make the most of the opportunities in the ever changing global environment.

To further augment this vision for our pupils, the secondary school, Kith & Kin International College , was founded in September, 2001. The motto of this arm of the group is “Be Resourceful”. Here the students are taught to take the skill sets acquired during the primary school years to a higher level than mere classroom learning but to resourceful application of themselves to self development in all aspects of their daily functions.

In line with the State Government's directive, the Nursery and Primary arm of the Group applied for the State Ministry of Education's approval/ license and was successful. The approval was awarded on the 15 th November, 2002 . The International College 's approval is still under process.
